Everything is going to be alright. But if something goes not that right, you are near the best medical centers you can find. Portuguese Health Care System ranks in the 12th position among 190 countries (World Health Organization). So, you can be sure you’ll be well treated if something goes wrong.
Near the flats you can find several health units for first care and small health problems like USF Camélias in Santa Marinha – Gaia; medium sized public hospitals like Hospital Gaia-Espinho in Gaia; as well as big metropolitan public hospitals like Santo António Hospital or São João Hospital in Porto. Parking Facilities
The Port Wine Flats are located in a historical center. The area around is mostly a pedestrian zone. For that reason one must park the car in one of the parking facilities in the neighborhood.
There are several car parks in a 100 meters radius from the flats. The Centro Histórico Car Parking and Cais de Gaia Car Parking, and also Luiz I Car Parking, for example, are open 24 hours. The prices vary but are about 1,5 euros per hour. There are also prices for a day. Check them out.
